Tom first joined McIntyre Capron in 1993, where, during a ten year period, he evolved from a junior designer into a Sr. Project Manager, eventually managing work for some of the firm's best known clients, including Moser Builders and Bentley Homes. After moving into Philadelphia, Tom accepted a position as a Sr. Project Manager for the Martin Architectural Group. Here he served as a lead conceptual designer for large-scale, multi-use projects which customarily included multi-family units alongside retail, office or resort components. Although the complexity of these projects was invigorating for him, notably absent was the direct creative connection. "The difficulty of large-scale, corporate-driven residential design is that the projects tend to be very numbers-driven and pre-programmed. At McIntyre Capron, projects are usually driven by an initial creative impulse, which is ultimately amplified and refined. The end results are homes which resonate with uniqueness and are not formulaic."

In 2005, Tom rejoined McIntyre Capron, this time as a Principal. Tom holds a Bachelor's of Architecture from Cornell University and is a registered Architect in the State of Pennsylvania.
